Obituary of Brian Christopher Meggison

Please share a memory of Brian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Brian Christopher Meggison was born on May 8, 1977, in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of five children born to the union of James Edward Meggison and Joanne Marie (Liparoto) Meggison.  Brian attended Monroe High School in Monroe, Michigan.  He currently was employed as a Fire Safety Technician for Red Guard Fire and Security.

Brian loved Harley Davidson, from riding his motorcycle to proudly wearing one of his abundance of Harley t-shirts.  He was very particular not only in the appearance of his motorcycle but also of his black Cadillac.  Brian enjoyed going to car and bike shows and once entered a contest himself at the Gibraltar Trade Center in Taylor, Michigan where he competed for the cleanest car and loudest stereo bass.  Brian didn’t venture far from home very often but when he did, he was usually camping at the Sterling State Park, watching fireworks, or traveling to Cedar Point. He enjoyed setting up firework shows throughout lower Michigan and found a sense of pride when he helped to set them off. With Halloween being his favorite holiday and fall his favorite season, Brian loved visiting Cedar Point for their Hallo-Weekends. He took great pride in his perfectly manicured lawn, decorating it each year.  One year all his hard work paid off as a local newspaper featured his ghosts and goblins in an article!  Often, Brian retreated to his man cave where he enjoyed shooting pool and tossing darts.

Brian Christopher Meggison, age 46 of Carleton, Michigan passed away unexpectedly from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Saturday; August 5, 2023.  His passing was preceded by his father: James Edward Meggison; a brother: James “Jamie” Meggison and nephew: James Michael Meggison.

To cherish his memory he leaves behind his son: Skyler Meggison (Madeline Luciow) of Carleton, Michigan; his mother: Joanne Marie Meggison; a sister: Heidi (David) Meggison- Swinkey of Monroe; two brothers: Randy and Kevin Meggison; sister-in-law: Debra “Debbie” Meggison; his former wife: Paige Roskeda (Ryan Merritt) of Carleton; four nieces: Mary (Adam) Rowe, Shelby (Brandon) Rainey, Brandi Meggison, and Amber; eleven nephews: J.J.
