Obituary of David Scott Revels II

Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

David Scott Revels II was born on June 16, 1988 in Monroe, Michigan to JoAnn Cook and David Revels I. He attended Monroe High School and although he did not graduate with his class, David persevered and was proud to have obtained his GED and then continued his education at Monroe County Community College. A talented contractor, David had been self-employed in the construction and remodeling trade since he was a teenager.

David had a deep appreciation for the natural world and loved animals. He stood in awe of every sunset and found his peace on a hiking trail. A free spirit, David never turned down an offer of adventure. His travels brought him across the country from Wisconsin south to New Orleans, Louisiana and out west to California. He drifted with the wind and worked along the way. A kid at heart, David enjoyed building and collecting Lego sets. He was especially proud of an elaborate treehouse and the Spiderman “Daily Planet” building he constructed. An avid reader, David had made his way through the entire “Harry Potter” series and many Stephen King and Dean Koontz novels.  David was very personable and could find common points of interest to converse with anyone.  No matter where David landed, he fit in just fine. He had a huge heart and was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. A wonderful uncle, he adored his nieces and nephews.

David Scott Revels II, age 35, of Monroe, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday; July 4, 2023 from injuries sustained in a car pedestrian accident.
