Obituary of Deborah Lynn Burt
Deborah Lynn “Debbie” Burt was born in Monroe, Michigan on February 15, 1951, to the union of Alfred J. Burt and Viola M. (Peters) Burt. One of five children, Debbie went on to graduate from Monroe High School with the Class of 1969.
Debbie worked many years as a Human Resources Administrator for North Star Steel, retiring in 2006. She was a lifetime member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Corps and a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe.
Debbie married the love of her life Daniel Burt on September 30, 1995. Together they blended to become a family of six. Debbie was always quick to smile and brought joy to everyone who knew her locally, but also in Florida where she and Dan would spend their winter months escaping the cold. An avid golfer, Debbie spent much of her time in Florida on the greens. She could often be found with a group of friends from the Glades enjoying a Happy Hour drink or sitting back in a beach chair stargazing.
