Obituary of Mark Kuzewski

Mark William Kuzewski was born on October 29, 1948, in Lansing, Michigan. He was one of three children born from the union of Raymond and Joanne (Yaegar) Kuzewski. Mark graduated with the class of 1966 from Airport High School. Following high school, Mark enrolled at Monroe County Community College to further his education.   He enlisted in the United States Army National Guard proudly serving his country.

Mark married the love of his life, the former Annette Sayles, on November 21, 1970.  Together the couple would be blessed with the birth of three children. To provide for the needs of his family, Mark was employed as a materials handler in a warehouse facility.

Mark loved to be outdoors and looked forward to spending time in the woods.   Hunting was a favorite pastime and was a welcome activity during the fall season.   During the warmer months, Mark could be found near a body of water tossing a line to see what was biting that given day. Born a natural handyman, Mark could often be seen tinkering, with anything and everything. His intuitive mind desired only to figure out how to fix something or improve its function.

Mark William Kuzewski, age 74, of Carleton, passed away at home unexpectedly on Sunday; December 18, 2022.   His passing was preceded by his parents; his stepmother: Elizabeth; and a brother: Andrew.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife and best friend of fifty-two years: Annette; two sons: Kevin Kuzewski; Ryan (Kristen) Kuzewski; a daughter: Kara (John) Jeffrey; five grandchildren: Andrew, Conner, Joanne, Phillip Parriet, Gary; one sister: Mary Lodico, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may gather on Tuesday; December 27, 2022, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 2:00pm, also at Merkle’s.   Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial.
