Obituary of Ann Marie Myland

Please share a memory of Ann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Ann Marie Sisung was born in Monroe, Michigan on December 18, 1942. She was the third of nine children born from the union of Justin and Ida (Welser) Sisung. After graduating from St. Mary Academy, she married Charles Myland Jr. and through their loving relationship, the couple was blessed with the birth of four wonderful daughters.

Ann was extremely community oriented throughout her life.   She had a passion for helping others, and was involved with 4-H for many years. She enjoyed traveling, visiting with family and friends, and especially gatherings with her Model A car group.   Ann loved playing cards, baking sweet treats, and tending to her beautiful garden.

Ann endlessly adored her family and instilled the importance of kindness and love in each of them.   She was always up for good conversation and could be counted on for sound advice.   She had a special place in her heart for her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and sons-in-law.   In fact, instead of her and Charles doing something alone for their fiftieth wedding anniversary, they took each of their daughters and families on a trip of their choice.  These experiences were epic to say the least.

Ann Marie Myland, age 79, of LaSalle passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday; December 1, 2022.   Under the care of ProMedica Monroe Hospice, she was surrounded by the family she cherished.   Her passing was preceded by her parents; three sisters: Barbara Pente, Mary Sisung, and Jan Reaume; a brother-in-law: Harold Thoma; and two sisters-in-law: Martha Thoma, and Nancy Sisung.

To cherish her memory, she leaves her loving husband of fifty-eight years:  Charles Myland Jr. of LaSalle; four daughters: Pat (Tom) Trout, Karen (Bruce) Lambert, Margaret (Matt) Hocking and Charlotte Myland (Jason Brooks); eleven grandchildren: Jacob Lambert, Natalie Trout, Lauren Lambert, Jacob Brooks, Wade Trout, Brady Brooks, Ryan Brooks, Amanda Lambert, Marissa Hocking, Ashley Brooks, and Madelyn Hocking; five siblings: Don (Jane) Sisung, Charles (Cheri) Sisung, Ray Sisung, Sue (Charles) Bares, and Joyce (Bill) Richardson.
