Obituary of Beverly Cox

Beverly Marie Gall was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 7, 1927. She was one of four children of the late Elmer Gall and Alma (Morse) Gall.
For more than twenty years, she worked as a Dietician for Tendercare Nursing Center. Beverly was a very loving, people person. Not only did Beverly love and cherish her own grandchildren, but she became a foster grandparent for the Monroe County Intermediate School District. Her dedication even earned her the award as "Foster Grandparent of the Year".
Beverly attended Monroe Full Gospel Church. For many years she participated in Relay for Life. Beverly had many varied hobbies and interests. Her pastimes included: reading, sewing, working puzzles and listening to books on tape. Beverly enjoyed going out to eat. She also enjoyed traveling with her children.
Beverly Marie (Gall) Cox age 87 of Monroe passed at Mercy Memorial Hospital where she was surrounded by her family. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by a brother: Donald Gall; and an infant daughter: Janet.
To cherish her memory she leaves two sons: Dale (Shirley) Cox of Monroe and Daryl (Michelle) Cox of Raleigh, North Carolina; two daughters: Debbie (Dan) Mason of Taylor and Marianne Cox of Trenton; two brothers: James (Jill) Gall of Canton, Ohio and Ray (Barb) Gall of Curtis, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Jennifer (Michael) Murphy, Daniel (Bobby Jo) Mason, Kevin (Dayna) Cox, Sarah (Mark) Foshag, Michael Pace, Rachel Cox, Maegan Pace and Shane Ferguson; eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Friends may gather at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 for a Memorial Service at Monroe Full Gospel Church, 5337 East Albain Road. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734)384-5185 has been entrusted with her arrangements and cremation has taken place through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia, Michigan.
