Obituary of Steven George Iski

Steven George Iski was born on April 13, 1944 in Wyandotte, Michigan. He is one of two children born from the union of the late Frank Iski and the late Ruth (Fick) Iski. After graduating high school, Steven continued his education and earned an Associate Degree. He started working at the age of 17 at Iron Workers Local 25 for 36 years until he retired at the age of 53.

Steven George Iski married the love of his life, Linda Iski, on December 29, 1984 in Melvindale, Michigan. Together they enjoyed a beautiful life together. Family was the most important thing to Steven. He had six children and had the pleasure of watching their families grow. He was grandfather to 19 and great grandfather to five. He was a family man and would do anything for his children and grandchildren.

Steven had a passion for gardening. He always enjoyed planting flowers and vegetables. He was always up to date on current events and always kept up with technology. He was always good with computers and such. He was known to always have a project going and liked things in a specific order. Everything in his life was organized and very neat. To relax, he always enjoyed challenging his mind working on puzzles.

He was a caring man and was loved by everyone who met him. He recently made some new friends at the Moose and local tavern where he enjoyed spending some time. He didn’t talk much, but he was a good listener and was very patient.

Steven George Iski, age 73, of Newport, Michigan, passed away on November 9, 2017 at 10:40pm surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his daughter, the late Ronda Iski and his parents.

To cherish his memory, Steven leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Linda Iski; his children: Renee Iski, Steven R. Iski, Paul (Antoinette) Severinski, Patrick Severinski, Philip (Corrie) Severinski; his grandchildren: Michelle, Kevin, Cassandra, Christopher, Stephanie, Saraya, Parker, Sydney, Paul, Andrew, Justin, Nathan, Khloe, Alivia, Robbie, Philip, Leland, Casey and Katelyn; his great grandchildren: Jacob, Noah, Alexander, Lada and Treyvon; his sister in law: Pauline Kelly and her son Daniel and many extended family members and friends.
