Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Thomas Wayne Scholl was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 12, 1953. He was one of four children born to Robert and Geraldine (Boltz) Scholl. Tom graduated from Monroe High School in Monroe, Michigan with the Class of 1971. For more than twenty-eight years he was employed at General Motors prior to taking a medical retirement.

A talented mechanic, Tom enjoyed tinkering with his vehicles. He was the proud owner of a 1972 Plymouth Roadrunner, which he purchased nearly new in 1973. Tom also drove a rare Chevy RSR sport pickup truck painted in its signature bright yellow color with bumblebee decals. His truck was number twenty-five of only five hundred produced.

Tom had no use for a television, but frequently tuned into the radio to keep up on the news and listen to classic rock music. He enjoyed being outdoors and kept his lawn neatly manicured with a wide variety of flowers among his landscaping. Quiet and introverted for the most part, Tom could talk your ear off on occasion if the topic piqued his interest. He was sure to check in with his sister, Jan, every day promptly at 9:00am.

Thomas Wayne Scholl, age 70, of Monroe, passed away peacefully at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital on Friday; April 5, 2024. His passing was preceded by his parents: Robert and Geraldine Scholl; a sister: Christine Herzig and two nephews: Scott and Kurt Scholl.
