Obituary of Nancy Kay Ordish

Please share a memory of Nancy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Nancy Kay Puisto was born on June 18, 1951, in Ironwood, Michigan. She was one of three children born from the union of Uno and Irma (Johnson) Puisto. Nancy would attend and graduate with the Class of 1969 from AD Johnston High School in Bessemer, Michigan.   On July 16, 1983 she was joined in marriage to the love of her life, Stephen Ordish, at the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Nancy was blessed with three children from a previous marriage, and Stephen took as his own.

More than anything, Nancy loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandson. She made time each day to prove her affection by sending them their daily text.   She looked forward to bi-annual trips to the Great Smoky Mountains.   These wonderful getaways to such a serene spot often included as many as twenty-two family members tagging along.   Once away from the picturesque mountains, Nancy, indulged herself with a little shopping.   Her jaunts into town rarely netted something for herself, rather she looked to purchase coffee mugs or t-shirts for her loved ones.   Each Tuesday and Friday, the family gathered together to play board games.   Nancy was known for her competitive spirit and showed no mercy when playing, even being sure to get in a dig or two on her opponents when she was victorious.

Nancy also treasured the time that she spent with friends at the Long Branch Saloon.   She enjoyed catching up on life and sipping her favorite drink, a seven and seven.

Nancy Kay Ordish, age 71, of Newport passed away at her home at 11:08am on Wednesday; July 6, 2022.   Her passing was preceded by her parents and a sister: Judy.

To cherish her memory, she leaves her husband of nearly thirty-nine years:  Stephen; three children: Michael Davy II, Kelly (Thorney) Pattenaude, Brian (Tonya) Davy; one brother: Dale Piusto; five grandchildren:  Sadie Pattenaude, Catherine Davy, Brian Davy, Jr., Tianna Davy, Peyton Davy; and one great grandson: Brian Allen Davy, III.
