Obituary of Dora Jean Origel

Please share a memory of Dora to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Dora Jean Noble was born on December 24, 1951, in Ypsilanti, Michigan.   She was one of six children born from the union of Willard and Martha (Little) Noble, Sr.   She was a 1969 graduate of the Willow Run High School in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

In 1978, Dora married the love of her life, Robert L. Origel, in Ypsilanti.   Together the couple would be blessed to raise three sons:  Joseph, Jesse, and Willard.   In 1991, the young family would relocate from Ypsilanti to make their home in Monroe.

Dora enjoyed sewing, painting, and doing crosswords.  For a time, she tried her hand at crocheting although she never quite fell in love with that craft.   She loved to cook with her most cherished dishes being mashed potatoes and hamburger gravy, banana pudding, peach cobbler, and “Grandma” candy which all the grandchildren loved to devour.   Dora challenged her mind by playing computer games with Farmville and The Legend Of Zelda being her favorites.   Her one grandson, Robert, fondly recalls her fascination with watching the tv show “ID”.   She had a wonderful sense of humor, and it was said that she lived for her ten grandchildren.   Most recently, she had experienced the joy of a great grandson.

Dora Jean Origel, age 70, of Monroe passed away on Saturday; June 25, 2022, at ProMedica Hospital in Toledo, Ohio.   Her passing was preceded by her parents:  Willard and Martha Noble, Sr.; two brothers:  Tommy Noble, Sr. and Willard Noble, Jr.; and her sister:  Gloria Noble.

To cherish her memory, she leaves her loving husband of forty-four years:  Robert L. Origel of Monroe; three sons:  Joseph Origel and Jesse Origel of Monroe and Willard Noble; two sisters: Rhonda Noble of Waterford, Michigan and Nancy Noble of Clinton, Michigan; ten grandchildren:  Kyle Ratliff, Robert “Bobby” Origel, Alexia Origel, Isabella Origel, Jonathan Schultz, Joaquin Martinez, River Origel, Kyler Origel, Reign Origel, and Fenyx Origel; and one great grandson.
