Obituary of Patricia Ann Oliver
Patricia “Pat” Ann Oliver was born January 22, 1952 in Crown Hill, West Virginia. She was one of five children born to the union of Fred and Barbara (Ross)Miller. Pat attended Melvindale High School in Melvindale, Michigan. She would later earn her GED from Melvindale High School.
On November 15, 1976, at the Justice of the Peace in Melvindale, Michigan Pat would marry the love of her life, Mr. Daniel Oliver and sadly he preceded her in death on April 6, 2022. The couple made their home in Garden City and were blessed with two beautiful daughters: Jessica and Dawn. In the early 90’s the family would settle down in Newport, Michigan.
Pat worked as a manager for several local restaurants like Wendy’s and Red Lobster. She was also the property manager for several local apartment complexes throughout Monroe, Michigan. She enjoyed watching religious programs on tv, listening to religious music and reading the bible. She enjoyed watching sports with her husband; Daniel and enjoyed sewing and doing crafts. Her most precious pastime was spending time with her grandchildren, spending time her great grand dog; Ceasar the Pitbull and being called “Nana”.
Patricia “Pat” Ann Oliver, age 70, of Newport, Michigan passed away Sunday June 19, 2022 at Beaumont Hospital, Trenton in Trenton, Michigan. Her passing was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty five years; Daniel Oliver; her parents; Fred and Barbara Miller; her daughter; Jessica Soulliere; her brother; John Litton and her niece; Jennifer Litton.
To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her daughter; Dawn Hunter of Newport, Michigan; her sister; Karen Williams of Southgate, Michigan; two brothers; Fred (Judi)Miller of Roscommon, Michigan and Joseph “Joe” (Debbie) Miller of Lakeland, Florida; three grandchildren; Brandon and Kayla Hunter, both of Westland, Michigan and Mark McCollum of Garden City, Michigan.
Friends may gather on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162. (734)384-5185. A Celebration of Pat’s life officiated by Jesse Jackson will begin at 1:00pm also at Merkle’s. Cremation will follow through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan. Her cremated remains will be interred with her husband Daniel at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
