Obituary of Kristy Lynn Moore
Kristy Lynn Sancrant was born on August 5, 1971 in Santa Ana, California to Charles F. Sancrant and Sharon (Labardee) Sancrant-Smith. Kristy graduated from Erie Mason High School with the Class of 1989. She later completed a nursing program at Riverside Hospital in Toledo, Ohio and continued her education at Monroe County Community College where she earned an Associate’s degree in Business Management.
Kristy had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed travel. She often visited her daughter in Pennsylvania and vacationed with her boyfriend. The couple took a memorable trip to Hocking Hills, Ohio for Kristy’s 50th birthday where they spent the night in a treehouse. She also enjoyed visiting any place where she could relax in the sun and catch a tan. A social person, Kristy had lots of friends and enjoyed interacting with them on Facebook and sharing Tik-Tok videos. A big fan of chef Ree Drummond, Kristy decorated with her “Pioneer Woman” home décor brand. She also enjoyed trying recipes from Pioneer Woman cookbooks which she would drop off to her brother to taste test. More than anything else, Kristy enjoyed spending time with her new baby granddaughter whom she adored.
Kristy Lynn Moore, age 50, of Newport, Michigan passed away on Tuesday; February 1, 2022 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. Her passing was preceded by her paternal grandparents: Jim and Jean Sancrant; maternal grandparents: Carl and Violet Labardee; father: Charles Sancrant; brother: Scott Alan Sancrant; brother-in-law: William Sharpe; and former spouse and father of her children: Eric Moore Sr.
To cherish her memory, she leaves her son: Eric Moore Jr.; daughter: Miranda Moore (Kyle McKim); granddaughter: Olivia McKim; mother: Sharon Sancrant-Smith; step-father: Jerry L. Smith, whom Kristy lovingly referred to as “Pops”; sister: Jill Sharpe; brothers: Jim (Sue) Sancrant and Billy Sancrant; boyfriend of two years: Tommie Uden; best friend: Robin Fisher; and close childhood friend: Melissa McFadden.
Friends may gather on Thursday; February 10, 2022 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan 48161 (734) 241-7070. A Celebration of Kristy’s Life will follow at 12:00pm also at Merkle’s. Cremation has taken place through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan.
