Obituary of Betty Jean Marlow

Please share a memory of Betty to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Betty Jean Marlow was born on November 1, 1944, in Stanton, Michigan.   She was one of two children born from the union of Donald and Freida (Fouts) Marlow.

Betty was social butterfly, in fact, the nursing home caregivers, where she resided were often quite challenged to keep Miss Betty in her room at times.   She enjoyed challenging her mind putting together puzzles and received a great deal of joy from completing them as she saw the beautiful pictures created by the fruits of her labor.   Betty also liked taking her chances playing BINGO, especially at Wellspring where she called home.

As a strong faith-filled woman, Betty would feed her spiritual appetite by watching gospel shows and videos on the television.  Above anything, Betty loved her family, she often called to keep in touch and to check on them.   Betty was extremely caring, always wanting the best for her family.   She herself took great comfort and strength just knowing they were healthy, just by hearing their voices on the other end of the phone.

Betty took great pride in her appearance.   She was known to be a girly girl.   She made sure each day to get dolled up with a nice outfit even if she had no place to go.

Betty Jean Marlow, age 77, of Monroe passed away at 2:24pm on Saturday; January 1, 2022, at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Monroe.   Her passing was preceded by her parents.

To cherish her memory, she leaves one brother:  John (JoAnn) Marlow of Sevierville, Tennessee along with several nieces and nephews.

Her care has been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, Dundee; 297 Tecumseh Street, Dundee, Michigan 48131 (734) 529-3156.   A graveside service is being planned for the Spring at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee.
