Obituary of Lucky Joe Hammac

Lucky Joe Hammac was born on March 8, 1972 in Monroe, Michigan.   He was the eldest of three boys born from the union of Fuson Junior and Judy Lynn (Pfluge) Hammac.   Lucky graduated from Monroe Jefferson High School with the Class of 1990.   He furthered his education at the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Texas.   Lucky spent twenty-five years employed as a locomotive engineer with the Canadian National Railroad Company.

On May 25, 2000, Lucky, married the love of his life, the former Heather Michelle Wentworth.   The couple would be blessed with six children:  Hollie, Alisha, Julie, Joseph, Tony, and Nathan.   Lucky was a true family man and being authoritative he wasn’t afraid to take charge of any situation.   He was also the family grill master.

Lucky loved to fish on Lake Erie where he often caught two of his favorite fish; Walleye and Perch.  Being an automotive enthusiast, a 1972 Chevelle was his favorite car.    Lucky was very handy, regularly setting his mind to building model rockets and radio-controlled cars.

Lucky was a talented musician and a Heavy Metal enthusiast.   He wrote his own music as the lead guitarist for the “Bad Neighbors” band.   Lucky frequently reminded others that he was “the best guitar player that no one heard of”.   He loved jamming out to Metallica and playing his Kirk Hammett ESP model guitar.
