Obituary of Scott Anthony Meehan

Please share a memory of Scott to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Scott Anthony Meehan was born on June 15, 1996, in Riverview, Michigan. He was the middle child of three sons born from the union of Patrick and Veronica (Karshnock) Meehan. Scott graduated from Airport High School in Carleton, Michigan with the Class of 2014. He was a member of Teamsters Local 25 in Boston, Massachusetts and employed as a driver for the film division for the past two years.

Scott had an outgoing personality combined with a great sense of humor and made friends easily. Although he loved to spend time with his family and friends, he was seemingly just as content to take a hike in the woods solo or go site-seeing alone in a new city. Scott enjoyed attending alternative rock concerts and could often be heard singing along in the car. A video gamer, he often played Diablo 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim alongside his brothers. His constant companion for the past seven years, Scott adored his blue nose Pitbull “Molly” whom he’d had since she was a puppy.

Scott Anthony Meehan, age 25, of Newark, Delaware passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 24, 2021.   His passing was preceded by his maternal grandmother: Janice Burdick who was affectionately referred to as “Nanny” and paternal grandmother: Tarrie Meehan.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his parents: Patrick and Veronica Meehan of Newark, Delaware; brothers: Patrick Meehan Jr. and Elijah Meehan; grandfather: Robert Burdick; aunts: Gina Karshnock, Rhonda Harrison, and Renae (Junito) Payne; uncles: John Meehan Jr., Tim (Debbi) Meehan, and Ryan Karshnock; cousins: Daniel Meehan, Halie Meehan, Sean Meehan, Ashley Atkins, Xavier Payne, Jazzy Payne, Jessica Womer, Alan Womer, and Nathan Harrison; and his beloved canine companion: Molly.
