Jacqueline Marie LeVasseur was born in Bay City, Michigan on August 19, 1949. She was one of six children born from the union of the late Virgil LeVasseur and the late Laura (Wendt) LeVasseur. She graduated in 1967 from Monroe High School. Jackie would meet her future husband Edward Joseph Larner on a blind date. He was instantly mesmerized by her long, dark hair and was drawn to her genuine personality. The couple would be joined in marriage on June 5, 1970, at St. Joseph Church in Monroe. Jackie was wonderful, loving, and generous. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was especially well-known for her delicious, out of this world, Texas sheet cake and pies. For the past eighteen years, Jackie, was the Owner and Operator of the Mussell Beach Drive-In in Bay City where running the restaurant quickly became a family affair. Strong in her faith, Jackie would feed her spiritual appetite by attending services at Prince of Peace Parish, Sacred Heart Campus. Formerly while living in Monroe, she had been active with St. Mary and St. Anne Churches. Jackie had a servant’s heart and was always striving to help those less fortunate. Her charity work led her to being very active with Comboni Missions. Fifteen years ago, Jackie’s daughter, Gina, found an online special for an overnight stay at the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island. This one visit was all it took for the hotel to become Jackie’s preferred destination. She quickly became a favorite guest of the hotel and its workers receiving comped dinner and gifts since she brought them mouthwatering homemade dishes and baked goods. In one year, Jackie broke two of the hotel’s records having the most reservations along with the longest reservation, staying a record eight months out of the year, even though the hotel was only open for six months. Above anything, Jackie treasured her family, especially her grandbabies. She cherished conversations and the company of others and never wanted the chats to end. Her smile was infectious, but along with her beautiful grin was a great sense of humor. Jackie took great delight in being a jokester. Jackie showed off her green thumb annually planting a garden including pumpkins and fruit trees. She appreciated the great outdoors; not only camping, but keeping everyone’s bellies full by taking charge of the outdoor cooking. Jackie’s kind spirit extended to wildlife as she fed the deer passing through her yard peanut butter sandwiches, by hand. Jacqueline Marie Larner, age 72, of Bay City passed away at 12:25am on Wednesday; September 22, 2021, at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw. Her passing was preceded by her mother in 1994, father in 2000; and her brother: Ernest LeVasseur in 2019. To cherish her memory she leaves her husband of fifty-one years: Edward Larner of Bay City; six children: Brian Larner of LaSalle, Regina Larner of Belleville, Matthew Larner (Jennifer Stakolosa) of Bay City, Mark Larner of Bay City, Elizabeth Larner of Bay City, and Catherine (Zachary) Beffrey of Kawkawlin; two sisters: Winifred Webb and Theresa LeVasseur-Berry (Bill Berry); two brothers: Timothy (Diana) LeVasseur and Dale LeVasseur; nine grandchildren: Lillian Larner, Olivia Larner, Emily Larner, Richard Jacob Stakolosa, Anthony Stakolosa, Kayleigh Stakolosa, Alyssa Stakolosa, Kameran Latter, and Jack Beffrey; with one-on-the way; a great grandchild: Lucas Lagrow; many nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday; September 29, 2021 at Ramsay Group Funeral Services, Rivertown Funeral Chapel; 209 South Huron Road, Kawkawlin, MI 48631. She will lie in state from 10:00am until the Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00am on Thursday; September 30, 2021 at Prince of Peace Parish, Sacred Heart Campus; 1000 E Beaver Rd, Kawkawlin, MI 48631. Father Jack Fabian of Companions of Christ the Lamb in Paradise will officiate and procession will follow to St. Anne Cemetery for burial. Her care has been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. Memorials in her honor are suggested to the Companions of Christ the Lamb in Paradise, Michigan or Comboni Missions. Your donation will be processed through My Tribute Gift Foundation for distribution to your selected charity. Your credit card transaction record will appear as My Tribute Gift Foundation. An official tax receipt for your donation will be issued by My Tribute Gift Foundation. Donations are sent out to charities at the end of each month for all donations received in that previous month. So a donation made on the first day of the month would be sent at the same time as one made on last day. Payments would be sent either by paper check or direct deposit. Please note that the there is 3% + 35¢/transaction fee for credit card processing, My Tribute Gift Foundation collects a 5% administrative fee. These fees help fund the cost of processing all donations, issuing tax receipts, and sending all appropriate information to the selected charity. These fees are assumed by your selected charity, but you will receive a receipt for the full amount of your donation. There are NO additional costs the charity has to endure to participate and accept donations through MyTributeGift.org. According to the American Institute for Philanthropy (charitywatch.org) a charitable organization is considered “Good” if they are spending less than 30% on administration and fundraising costs. My Tribute Gift Foundation helps reduce those administrative costs for charities and allows donors to contribute to lasting memorials for their loved ones.
When donating online, if the donation form has an option to add a tip, there is no convenience fee. The tip is optional and can be adjusted before you submit your donation. The amount of the tip will be displayed to you before you confirm the charge to your payment card. Tips are in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount that goes to the charitable organization. Under IRS and CRA rules, tips are not tax deductible to the donor.
You warrant and represent that all information and materials you provide to My Tribute Gift Foundation, through the Website or otherwise, are accurate and truthful and do not violate third party rights. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MY TRIBUTE GIFT FOUNDATION OR ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND AGENTS (THE "FOUNDATION PARTIES") BE LIABLE FOR ANY: (i) INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, COMPENSATORY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; (ii) DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF INCOME, LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF DATA OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY; (iii) CLAIMS OF THIRD PARTIES; OR (iv) OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OF USE, THE WEBSITE OR ANY LINKED SITE. Indemnity. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FOUNDATION PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, SUITS AND PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY (COLLECTIVELY "CLAIMS") ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IN BREACH OF THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE INFRINGEMENT BY YOU OF ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING ALL LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING ALL LEGAL FEES) ARISING FROM SUCH CLAIMS.

As a donor, you are responsible for researching the charity, understanding how your money will be used, and understanding the tax implications of your donation. We will email you a receipt, but the deductibility of your donation depends on your individual tax situation. We are not financial, tax, or legal experts. Please do not rely on our information to make decisions about your finances, taxes or legal matters. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Participating organizations have chosen to actively participate in the “Sponsor Program” to be represented in the Sponsor Charity array in an effort to increase their exposure and the opportunity for more memorial donations to be made to their organization. A rate structure is agreed upon and assessed on each donation processed through that program according to each organization’s individual agreement. Giving through that program has helped many organizations realize a drastic and significant increase in net donations.
If a donation form has a line item of Convenience Fee. The Convenience fee is displayed to you prior to approving the charge to your payment card. The convenience fee is in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount reaching the charitable organization. For example, a $100 donation becomes a $101.50 transaction. The convenience fee is directed immediately to a for-profit service provider. According to IRS and CRA rules the tax deductible receipt will therefore only be issued for the subtotal amount.
My Tribute Gift Foundation seeks to distribute all funds to organizations provided they have maintained active 501c3 certification in the United States or registered charity status in Canada. MTG relies on the beneficiary organizations to maintain and keep up to date contact information on file with the IRS or CRA respectively. This must be done in order for My Tribute Gift Foundation to exercise care and reasonable efforts to distribute payment promptly, without undue cost and burden to the foundation. In the event that a payment has not been deposited 12 months from issuance, the foundation reserves the right to utilize those funds in its mission to the foundation.
My Tribute Gift Foundation reserves the right to modify, change, discontinue and suspend these Terms of Use, the Website, and/or any services offered through the Website, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice to you. Your continued access or use of the Website after modifications to these Terms of Use have been posted on the Website shall indicate your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms of Use as modified.
