Bonnie Chambers - Goudy

Obituary of Bonnie Louise Chambers - Goudy

Please share a memory of Bonnie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Bonnie Louise Chambers was born in Monroe, Michigan on March 7, 1954.   She was the youngest child born from the union of Hoyt Ranson Chambers and Thelma (Curry) Chambers.   She was a 1972 graduate of Monroe High School.

In her early 20’s, Bonnie, would move from Monroe, Michigan to the Dayton, Ohio area.   For many years she was employed as a laborer by Delphi Automotive, a manufacturer of plastic dashboard parts, prior to taking a medical retirement.   Bonnie married the love of her life, Ricki “Rick” Goudy, on May 28, 1998.   The couple cherished the time they spent together.  She loved playing darts and often played ping pong with Rick.   Although, Bonnie, was not blessed with children of her own, she cared for and loved her nieces and nephews as if they were.   A pet lover she was quite thankful for the affection she received from her fur babies, Snow, Sugar, and Louie.

A woman of strong Christian faith, Bonnie, had been a longtime active member of the Redemption Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church.   She loved going to her church to worship and spending her free time engrossed in the Bible.   She enjoyed working in her yard every time she could, and shopping especially for shoes.

Bonnie loved to converse and talk to everyone around her.   She quickly became close to her neighbors, Jesse and Shaina Hartman and Wyatt, and Matt and Kim Brubaker and Lucy, they were her extended family.

Bonnie was known to be extremely funny with a great sense of humor.   Wherever she went she truly was a pop of color in a dull world.   She was a best-described as a wild card, you never knew what she was going to say, but it was always followed with her infectious laugh.

Bonnie Louise Goudy, age 67, of Englewood, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 15, 2021.   Her passing was preceded by her parents; her beloved husband of eighteen years, Rick, on November 6, 2016; and a brother:  John F. Chambers.

To cherish her memory she leaves two sisters:  Hazel Turner of Monroe and Margie Cupp of Tazewell, Tennessee; a brother:  Bill Chambers of Woodhaven; and numerous nieces and nephews including:  Kimberly Vandenberg and Chad Cupp whom she was extremely close to; and a host of great nieces and nephews
