Obituary of Ruby Elizabeth Carr
Ruby Elizabeth Carr, age 74, of Monroe passed from this life into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital surrounded by family members.
Ruby was born in Monroe, Michigan on January 29, 1947, the daughter of Charles Dadagon Carr and Agnes Yvonne (Borovich) Carr. She was a life member of Trinity Lutheran Church graduating in 1965 from Monroe High School. Ruby worked for the Detroit Stoker Company before returning to school and obtaining a nursing degree, after which she worked for the Sisters Servants Immaculate Heart of Mary as a caregiver before retiring.
Ruby was an avid reader and had a voracious love for her many nieces and nephews. To cherish her memory she leaves five siblings: Mary Ann (James) Calloway, Richard Carr, John (Susan) Carr, Debbie (Dan) Massingo all of Monroe, and Mark (Kathy) Carr of Summerton, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, and two brothers: Michael (Sherry) Carr, and Donald Carr.
Friends may gather at 2:00pm on Monday; June 28, 2021 at St. Joseph Cemetery, 909 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162. Pastor Roy Southerland will officiate and entombment will follow.
