Obituary of Helen Louise Williams
Helen Louise (Gable) Williams was born in Toledo Ohio on February 24, 1936. She was the youngest of three children born from the union of late Herbert Bismark and Hazel (Wilkins) Gable. She attended Petersburg Schools upon the family moving to Dundee, Helen, would finish school at Dundee High School graduating with the Class of 1954.
On August 18, 1956 Helen married John R. Williams. The couple was blessed with the birth of three daughters. Helen cared for the needs of her family as a homemaker.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time at their family cabin in Mio, Michigan. She was a talented seamstress often sewing blankets and creating treasures for those she loved. Helen was very fond of all her grand and great grandchildren.
Helen Louise Williams, age 85, of Dundee passed away on Tuesday; June 22, 2021 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. Her passing was preceded by her parents; her husband: John on May 21, 2008; brother: Melvin Gable; and a sister: Ruth Custer.
To cherish her memory, she leaves three daughters: Barbara (Howard) Cilley and Brenda Williams both of Dundee; and Diana (Brian) Howard of Petersburg; four grandchildren: Crystal Tautkus, Shelby (Thomas) Petoskey, Eric Black, and Jamie (Hamilton) LaRee; and six great grandchildren: Brice Williams, Tabby Tautkus, Sterling Petoskey, Anna Petoskey, Sebastian Petoskey, and Benjamin LaRee and dear friend Greg Yoas.
