Carlos Ray Eastes was born on September 9, 1944 in Monroe, Michigan.   He was one of eight children born from the union of the late James Eastes and the late Maudie (Lemons) Eastes.

Carlos married the love of his life, the former Sally Morris on January 7, 1963 in Monroe.   The couple would be blessed with the gift of four children:  Thomas, Sheila, Catherine, and Laura.   For more than twenty-five years, Carlos, provided for his family as a truck driver and as a mechanic for the Monroe Scrapyard.   Even in his free time, Carlos, enjoyed wrenching on cars and trucks.

Carlos was always the life of the party.  He loved to entertain always having people around, and he knew how to party.   When Carlos made time to watch television, he preferred the classics often enjoying the likes of Bonanza, The Lone Ranger, The Waltons, and Little House on the Prairie.

An avid outdoorsman, Carlos, could often be found chopping wood.   He also loved to camp, hunt and fish.  Northern Michigan was paradise for Carlos and for many years, he and Sally had made their home in Baldwin before moving back to Monroe.   More than anything, Carlos cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
