Obituary of John Anthony Witfoth Sr.

Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

John Anthony Witfoth Sr. was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 8, 1960. He was one of sixteen children born from the union of the late Robert and the late Betty (Vance) Witfoth. John attended Mason Schools.

Johnny worked hard as an over the road truck driver for many years. He took great pride in his career, driving from coast to coast in his Peterbuilt semi. His free spirit led him to travel often, visiting many places along his routes.

He cared deeply for his family and truly enjoyed helping others. Time spent with his children and grandchildren was deeply cherished. Although stubborn and liking things “his way or no way”, he was still gentle with a kind heart and had a friendly smile.

John “Johnny” Anthony Witfoth Sr., age 58, of Oregon, passed away unexpected on Friday, May 10, 2019 at home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a sister: Judy Krueger; two brothers-in-law: Duane Krueger and Donald Dusseau; and a sister-in-law: Vickie Witfoth.

To cherish his memory, John leaves his children: John Witfoth Jr., Shawn (Amanda) Witfoth and Alexia Ann Witfoth; step children: Darryl Hudson and Natasha Hudson; eight brothers: Robert (Linda) Witfoth, Richard (Mary) Witfoth, Jerry (Debbie) Witfoth, Charles Witfoth, Jim (Kathy) Witfoth, Clyde (Kay) Witfoth, Mike (Lisa) Witfoth and Carl (Shane) Witfoth; six sisters: Alice Dusseau, Norma (Ben) Turner, Kathy (Harold) Pridemore, Karen(Duane) Cousino, Joyce (Scott) Gilmore and Mary (Kevin) Wolf; and three grandsons: Anthony, Tyler and Iyzic.
