Obituary of Maryann Gallos

Maryann Gallos was born on March 30, 1936 in Hackensack, New Jersey. She was one of five daughters born from the union of her parents: the late Alf Sandsvick and the late Anna (Moran) Sandsvick. After graduating High School, Maryann worked at Hewlett-Packard where she made transistors. 

Maryann loved going to the casino to test her luck on winning big and was even employed at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut where she worked as a gaming supervisor. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, knitting, going for long drives in her car and drinking coffee. 

She had an optimistic personality and always saw the good in everybody. She was kind and would do anything for the ones she loved. Above anything, she cared deeply for her family and lead by example in her matriarch role. She loved her children and cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To know Maryann was to love her and she will be missed by her family and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. 

Maryann Gallos, age 82, formerly of Rockaway, New Jersey passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital. She is preceded in death by her sisters: Lillian and Alice and her parents. 

To cherish her memory, she leaves her beloved children: Michael Gallos, Patricia Bradley and Cynthia Campbell; her sisters: June and Audrey; her grandchildren: Robert, Ann Marie, Amy and Eric; her great grandchildren: Destiny and Bryce;  and many extended family members and friends.
