Obituary of Steven Miles Teller

Steven Miles Teller was born on March 30, 1961 in Tecumseh, Michigan. He was one of five children born from the union of his father: the late Forest Lee Teller and his mother: Ruth Ann Hannah. He received his education by attending school at Dundee High School and graduated with the class of 1980.

Steven enjoyed working with his hands and was employed as a cabinetmaker for many years. He was very handy and stayed busy around the house tinkering with many projects. This required countless trips to his favorite store: Menards. In his spare time, he enjoyed time spent outdoors tending to his garden or taking trips to Bolles Harbor to test his luck going fishing.

He enjoyed time spent with his family and he always spoiled his nieces and nephews by providing them with junk food and his most famous snack: Cheeseballs. He was remained close with his mother and siblings and cherished time spent with them and his extended family. Known for his stubbornness, he was always kind and will be missed deeply by his family and friends.

Steven Miles Teller, age 57, of Monroe passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. His passing is preceded by his father: Forest Lee Teller.

To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his loving mother: Ruth Ann Teller; his sisters: Kathy (Ron) Doran and Pam (Matt) Meiser; his brothers: Terry (Amy) Teller and Randy (Leann) Teller; his four nephews: Cody, Justin (Brittney), Zach and Alex; his niece: Kristen; his two great nieces: Kenlee and Aubrey and many extended family members and friends.

Family and friends may gather on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 1:30pm -5:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe 14567 South Dixie Highway (734)241-7070. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 5:00pm also at Merkle’s with Deacon Mike Stewart officiating from St. Mary’s Parish in Monroe.
