James Anthony Michalski was born on November 6, 1946 in Detroit.   He was the son of the late Walter and Leona (Zielinski) Michalski.   Following graduation from Wyandotte High School, James, was drafted into the United States Army where he served his country honorably, obtaining the rank of E-4.

He married the former Linda Chapman on September 13, 1980 at Evangel Ministries in Detroit Michigan.   From this union would come the birth of three sons.   For thirty years, James supported his family through employment at the Chrysler Corporation.   He worked as a Hi-Lo Driver.   A proud UAW member he was very active with membership activities.

Longtime members of Monroe Full Gospel Church, James and Linda were very involved.   He served as the youth leader for several years and was very passionate about spreading the word of Christ.   As a young man he enjoyed bowling.   James enjoyed time with family and was an excellent father teaching his boys how to play sports, but most importantly how to be good men.   James loved the outdoors.   He enjoyed long bike rides and watching the sunrise.   He was especially fond of Northern Michigan and visiting Harrison.
