Obituary of Carson Kelly Wagner

Carson Kelly Wagner was born in Monroe, Michigan on June 21, 1964. He was one of five children born
from the union of Carson Wagner and the late Minnie Opal (Cain) Wagner. Kelly, as he was known by
family and friends, attended Jefferson High School and graduated with the Class of 1982.
He married his wife, Janice Louise Emerson on April 20, 1990. They had one daughter: Emily Kathryn.
Kelly was a hard-worker and for the past twenty years he supported his family with employment by the
City of Monroe.
Kelly was a talented musician and he loved to make music with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing
and hunting. His Northern Michigan retreat was a favorite place to get away from the world.
Kelly was known for being quite the character and was very quick witted. He loved his family more than
anything and was always willing to share anything he had generously.
Carson Kelly Wagner, age 53 of Monroe, passed away at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital on
Sunday, May 13, 2018. In addition to his mother, his passing was preceded by a sister: Sheila Garcia.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his beloved wife of twenty-eight years: Janice of Monroe; one
daughter: Emily Kathryn Wagner of Belleville; two sisters: Dana (Kirk) Heller of Monroe and Trudy
(Chuck) Boes of Monroe; one brother: Daniel Keith Wagner of Monroe; and several nieces and nephews.
