Obituary of Diana Lynn Moore

Diana Lynn McDaniel was born on July 3, 1952 in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of four children born from the union of the late James McDaniel and the late Nancy (Belcoure) McDonald. She received her education from Jefferson High School and graduated with the class of 1970.

She married the love of her life, Richard Moore on July 24, 1982 at Stewart Road Church of God. From this union began a beautifully blended family. To support her family, she was a homemaker and made sure everyone was well taken care of.

Diana was known to be feisty and outspoken and could always hold her own. She enjoyed being at home spending time with her family and always enjoyed company whether it was her family members in the summer or her children’s friends. She was a great entertainer and loved by everyone who met her.

She had a passion for good music and made sure she instilled the same in her children. Her favorite animal was dogs and she had many throughout her life.

Diana Lynn Moore, age 65, of Monroe, Michigan passed away on December 28, 2017 at Promedica Toledo Hospital surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents.

To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her husband: Richard Moore of 35 years; her children: Jennifer (Lenora Snyder) Moore, Stacy (Joseph) Adkins, Jason Allen Moore, Jason Herndon and Rachel (Shawn) Cook; a father figure: William McDonald; her grandchildren: Dakota, Brooklyn, Katlyn, Austin, Jacie, Tyler, Charlie, Madison and McKenna; one great granddaughter: Kendall, and her siblings Donna Libstorff, James McDaniel, Debbie Campbell, Kari (Paul) Blanchett, Kelly (Ron) Rosen, Kristin (Clyde) Glenn and many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 also at Merkle’s with Pastor Tim Iocoangeli officiating. Following the services, burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle, Michigan.
