Mary Gallardo

Obituary of Mary Marie Gallardo

Mary Marie Rogers was born on November 15, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio. She was one of many children raised by Alfred and Wanda Jane (Young) Gay. Mary attended Mason High School graduating with the Class of 1973.

Family was the most important thing to her. She had four children who she loved with all her heart. To support her family, she worked many years at the Toledo Blade. She was known to be a very strong person by everyone in her family. To be with her family as long as she could, she fought her illness very hard and for a very long time.

In her younger years she enjoyed going horseback riding, bowling, taking camping trips, tending to her garden, canning her fruit and vegetables and listening to really loud music. She LOVED Michael Bolton and would listen to him over and over again.  She was an animal lover, especially dogs, and loved taking care of people and spending as much time with family and friends.

Mary had been ill for many years and even with her debilitating condition, she was a social butterfly and always had a smile on her face. Mary would love when people would come and visit. She was a people person and loved everybody she met. She was a wonder woman… fierce, determined and strong and will be missed by many.
