Valerie Dzagulones

Obituary of Valerie Ann Dzagulones

Valerie Ann Thivierge was born on May 12, 1960 in Wyandotte, Michigan. She was one of five children born from the union of the late Anthony Thivierge and the late Thelma (Chapman) Thivierge.   Valerie grew up in the Downriver area and graduated from Southgate High School with the Class of 1978.

Valerie was a hard worker and she took the responsibility of raising her two beautiful children to heart.   She taught them the value of their word and the importance of honesty.   Valerie was always generous with her resources; time and treasures.   She welcomed all into her home and was always willing to give what she could to those in need.   Sometimes she was merely a shoulder to cry on, but she could be an asset for sound advice.   She had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh.

Valerie was a fabulous cook learning many of her secrets from cooking shows.   She enjoyed entertaining and playing cards opening her immaculately kept home to parties.   Valerie also loved to spend time in her garden often canning these items to share with others later.

More than anything in this world, Valerie valued relationships.   She cherished her two children, three grandchildren whom she adored, friends, beloved pets, and especially her significant other, Craig Benore that she shared more than twenty-six years of life with.

Valerie Ann Dzagulones, age 57, of Erie passed away at 5:24pm on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.   In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by a close family friend whom was like a mother to her:  Betty Kupser.

To cherish her memory, Valerie leaves her significant other: Craig Benore of Erie; a daughter: Stephanie Fultz of Detroit; a son:  Aaron Dzagulones of Erie; two sisters: Toni Thivierge and Dawn Thivierge; two brothers: Christy Thivierge and Terry Thivierge; three grandchildren: Oona Maji, Azera Fultz, and Latrell Fultz; and her beloved four-legged companions: Phoebe and Ginger.
