Obituary of Dustin Adam Leach

Please share a memory of Dustin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Dustin Adam Leach was born in Monroe, Michigan on July 15, 1988.  He was the youngest of two sons born from the union of Ronald Ralph Leach and Penny Ann (McMillian) Leach.  He attended Monroe Public Schools where he participated in football and wrestling.

He was a hard worker and not one afraid to get his hands dirty.  For many years he worked as a Laborer for Larry Rorke Excavating and most recently had been employed as a farmer by Dale Shankleton Farms.  All his dedication had paid off as he was looking to purchase his dream truck, a brand new, Blue ZR2 Chevy Silverado this week.

The proud father of three, Dustin shared the past eight years of his life with Cora Lee Hicks.   With her three children they were a modern day “Brady Bunch” to say the least.   The couple were joined in marriage on March 5, 2022, at Victory Temple Church of God in Erie. Recently, they had spent time traveling to Punta Canta, Mexico and St. Thomas together.

Dustin was a man of God and had a heart of gold.  He had a love and passion for the Lord, and his conviction was more important than anything else.  He had compassion for all people, willing to give his last dollar to those in need.

Dustin was a wonderful father, and he enjoyed spoiling his children.  He liked staying active, being a ping pong and corn hole champion, he was good, beating all his family.  Dustin enjoyed fishing as a young man and was looking forward to spending more time in the future.  He also had amassed an amazing hat collection.  Whatever Dustin was doing it seemed that his constant companion was the Siberian Husky, Nalla, although Cora originally had brought her home.

Dustin Adam Leach, age 34, of Monroe passed away unexpectedly after suffering a medical emergency in the Emergency Department at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital at 11:08am on Sunday; May 7, 2023. His passing was preceded by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

To cherish his memory he leaves a beloved wife: Cora Lee Leach; his parents: Ronald and Penny Leach; six children: Emma Pasko, Makayla Leach, Carson Pasko, Taylor Leach, Noah Leach, and Evelyn Pasko; a brother: Ryan I. (Amanda) Leach; father and mother-in-law: Marv and Dawn Hicks; a brother-in-law: Lucas (Brittany) Hicks of Monroe; three nieces and nephews: Brook, Aust, Alexa, and Phoebe Leach on the way.  Dustin was extremely blessed to have a close extended family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
