Randall Scott Henning was born on September 12, 1958, in Tecumseh, Michigan. He was born from the union of Norman Henning and Thelma (Brow) Henning.  The youngest of three children, Randy, as he was affectionately known, enjoyed the coveted position of being the baby of the family and was spoiled as such.  He attended Britton Macon Area Schools.  In his later years he made a living as a truck driver.  He retired in 2020.

Randy enjoyed muscle cars and motorcycles, watching old western movies and television programs.  He was out several times a day taking his beloved dog Buddy for a walk.  He enjoyed watching his grandson, Hunter, play football.

Randall Scott “Randy” Henning, age 64, of Britton, Michigan passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.  His passing was preceded by his parents, Norman, and Thelma Henning.

To cherish his memory he leaves his sister Debra Henning, a brother, Norman (Nancy) Henning, a daughter, Shannon Henning Crick, a grandson, Hunter Crick, a nephew, Scott Furgason and his soul mate, Buddy.

Friends and family may gather for a Celebration of Life for Randy on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Merkle Funeral Service, 297 Tecumseh Street, Dundee, Michigan 48131.  The telephone number is 734-529-3156.  Cremation has taken place at the on-site crematory, Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan.
