Obituary of Toni Ellen Bean
Toni Ellen Turner was born on July 17, 1958 in Monroe, Michigan to Paul E. Turner and the former Mary Ellen Bladel. She attended Monroe High School and furthered her education at Monroe County Community College. Toni was employed in Accounts Receivable at the college for more than twenty years before retiring in 2020.
For many years Toni bowled on a league at Nortel Lanes where her skills earned her several trophies. She also enjoyed hitting the links at various golf courses in the Monroe area. Although she preferred to stay close to home, Toni traveled to Florida to visit her siblings from time to time. She was sure to take the opportunity to hit up the beach and soak in the sun.
An animal lover, Toni often watched a live feed from the Cincinnati Zoo on YouTube. She adored her dogs: “Randi”, a Golden Retriever, and “Buddy”, a Poodle mix. A caring and attentive mother, Toni never missed her children’s or grandchildren events. Even more so, she loves being a grandmother.
Toni Ellen Bean, age 64, of Monroe passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022. Her passing was preceded by her father: Paul E. Turner; mother: Mary Ellen Marunick; two brothers: Richard “Dick” Hensley and Paul “Junior” Turner; and canine companion: “Rylee” who was always at her side.
To cherish her memory, she leaves one daughter: Lisa (Timothy) Lock of Monroe; one son: Jeremy (Stephanie) Bean of Monroe; twin grandchildren: Payton and Corbin Bean; two sisters: Dianna (Bill) Standifer and Judy Turner; two brothers: James (Karen) Turner and James Butler; many nieces and nephews; and former spouse and friend: Allen Bean.
Friends may gather on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 2:00 to 7:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service; South Monroe, 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan 48161 (734) 241-7070. A Celebration of Toni’s Life will take place on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:00am also at Merkle’s followed by a procession to Roselawn Memorial Park for interment.
