Geraldine Bernice "Jerry" Scholl

Geraldine Bernice Boltz was born in Monroe, Michigan on May 27, 1931.   She was one of two children born from the union of Harold Boltz and Elizabeth (Stapish) Boltz.  She attended Monroe High School.

Jerry, as she was lovingly known, married Robert Louis Scholl on September 27, 1947.   She proudly cared for the needs of husband and children as a homemaker.   In fact, being a mother and grandmother was Jerry’s greatest joy in life.   The family worshipped at Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe where they were members.

Jerry was known for her feistiness.   She made friends easily, many lifelong bonds were created.   She was the consummate host, looking forward to cooking and hosting family for dinners.   Any guests to the Scholl home knew they would never go away hungry.   Jerry absolutely loved playing cards, sometimes being involved in spirited games up-to five times a week all around Monroe.   She also enjoyed going out to eat with friends.   She was a member of the Frenchtown Senior Center
