Kathleen "Kathy" Ansted

Kathleen “Kathy” Miller was born on March 8, 1956 at Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio.  She was one of three children born to the union of William “Bill” and Theresa (Ravary) Miller.  Kathy was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie, Michigan.   She attended St. Mary’s High School in Monroe, Michigan, graduating with the class of 1974.   Following her high school graduation, Kathy, would further her education at the University of Toledo where she studied finance.    

Kathy’s education and drive led to very successful careers in the banking and automotive dealer industries.   She worked with cars for years winning a Blade Stock contest before she left to obtain a position with the Edward Jones Agency in Bedford Township, Michigan.

On March 1, 1987 in Leelanau, Michigan, Kathy, would marry the love of her life, Mr. Paul Ansted, Jr.   When the couple decided to make their home in Naples, Florida, Kathy, acquired a role with the Edward Jones Agency on Marco Island.   Living in Florida afforded her the opportunity to spend more time with her passions of boating and swimming in her pool and in the Gulf of Mexico.   Kathy was very fond of her kitties especially Nikki.   Kathy and Paul were looking forward to her retirement in order to spend more time traveling.  

Kathleen “Kathy” Ansted, age 66, of Naples, Florida passed away on Thursday; March 17, 2022. Her passing was preceded by her father:  William “Bill” Miller.

To cherish her memory she leaves her loving husband of thirty-five years:  Paul Ansted, Jr of Naples, Florida; her mother:  Theresa Miller of Erie, Michigan; two brothers:  Mike (Dana) Miller and Mark Miller; a sister-in-law:  Barbara Schuster; several nieces and nephews; and many loving relatives and friends.

Friends may gather from 1:00pm until 3:00pm on Saturday; April 23, 2022 at Merkle Funeral Service, Erie; 9156 Summit Street, Erie, Michigan 48133 (734) 317-7199.  A Celebration of Kathy’s Life will take place at 3:00pm also at Merkle’s.   Cremation has taken place in Naples, Florida.
