Charlie Suire

Charles Anthony Suire was born on July 19, 1973 in Marrero, Louisiana. He was the son of Cleveland and Shirley (Strickland) Suire.  He attended John Ehert High School in Marrero.

Charles was extremely generous with his time and the first to lend a helping hand.   He was kind and caring and it was said he always wore his heart on his sleeve.   He loved to travel with Louisiana, Tennessee, and Cedar Point all being favorite destinations.   Each year he looked forward to spending the week at Cedar Point during their October Hallow Weekends. 

For many years, Charles oversaw maintenance at the Victory Inn and Suites in Ann Arbor, Michigan.   He was known to be a hard worker and dedicated employee.   Although, Charles spent many days and nights laboring he always found time to be with his family.

Charles Anthony Suire, age 49, passed away at work unexpectedly on Monday; November 28, 2022. His passing was preceded by his parents: Cleveland and Shirley Suire.

To cherish his memory Charles leaves his loving companion of twenty-five years:  Jodi Ferich of Ann Arbor, Michigan; two sons:  River and Dakota Suire both of Ann Arbor, Michigan; his stepmother:  Lorraine Suire of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; and three brothers: Ben, TJ Yates of Washington D.C. and Hoyt (Trisha) Yates of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Friends may gather on Thursday; December 15, 2022 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at One Way Christian Fellowship Church; 426 Jerome Street; Monroe, Michigan 48161.   A Celebration of His Life will follow at 6:00pm at the church with Pastor BJ McDaniel, officiating.   His care has been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service; Dundee; 297 Tecumseh Street, Dundee, Michigan 48131 (734) 529-3156.   Cremation has taken place through the on-site crematory, Covenant Cremation in Erie, Michigan.
