Kingsley Schwartz

Obituary of Kingsley Elizabeth Schwartz

Kingsley Elizabeth Schwartz was born premature at just 2lbs and 3.5oz and 14 inches long on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital.   Shortly after birth she was whisked to Promedica Toledo Children’s Hospital where she would spend the first two months of her life.

This precious baby girl was the daughter of Amanda Jeanne Schwartz and Phillip Edward Pawelec.  Born with cerebral palsy, Kingsley, certainly would know many challenges in this life, but she was strong and a fighter.   She endured physical therapy and steadily progressed to the point that she came off a heart monitor and would happily make a home with her mother and maternal grandmother.

Kingsley it seemed was happy all the time.   She had a wonderful, infectious smile, which in turn brought joy to all those around her.    A mama’s girl she was often attached at the hip, they enjoyed going for walks, and the nightly bedtime bath.   Kingsley also loved her grandmother, whom lovingly referred to her as “Grandma’s Little Alien Baby”.   Being the only girl, Kingsley, was certain to be spoiled by those older brothers, that loved to play with her and affectionately called her “Sissy”.

Kingsley of Monroe passed away on her nine-month birthday, August 14, 2017 at the Promedica Toledo Children’s Hospital.   Although her earthly life ended abruptly and far sooner than any could have hoped, she has taught others about how to fight and love.   Waiting for Kingsley as she entered heaven was her maternal grandfather:  William Schwartz who passed in 2011 and her older brother:  Gary Keck that passed in 2009.

To cherish her memory, Kingsley leaves her mother:  Amanda Jeanne Schwartz of Monroe; her father:  Phillip Edward Pawelec of Monroe ;maternal grandmother:  Kathleen Elizabeth Schwartz of Monroe; paternal grandfather:  Edward (Nancy) Pawelec of Flat Rock; paternal grandmother:  Dale (Gary) Kupchick of Monroe; four brothers:  Gavin Keck of Monroe, Nolan Keck of Monroe, Gage Schwartz of Colorado, and Roman Aniol; maternal uncle:  Benjamin Schwartz of Monroe; paternal aunts:  Kayla Pawelec of Flat Rock and Stephanie Metzger of Monroe.
